Musician and Educator

Jacob Bori is a musician, composer, arranger, and educator living in Houston TX.

Interesting People Make Interesting Music

While leaving full-time education to focus on my wife and child, I realized that I needed a “one-stop-shop” for all things related to my music. Many interests both inside and outside of music education inform how I compose, arrange, and teach. Instead of hiding these influences, I want to share them with anyone I collaborate with, in any setting.

In having a “Humanistic” approach, everything we do is interconnected. From listening to Run the Jewels, then watching live performances of “Rite of Spring”, to listening to a Thomas Merton audiobook after a heavy weightlifting session, everything serves as an opportunity for me to learn and grow upon reflection. I hope to help others have the same experience with my work.

Whether it’s performing with Houston’s Accordion Super-Stars, teaching lessons, sharing the fruits of mixing/mastery classes, or sharing my own personal music projects, you can find everything here.
